Reviews
Cold outside? Need to clear your sinuses? Definitely check out Gia Dinh for great quality Vietnamese food. This is a no frills restaurant with limited decor and incredibly friendly service from the family who owns it. I have been here twice and haven’t tried too many items from the menu because the very good pho and spring rolls are both winning dishes.
Great food, enjoyed all the dishes we had. We tried the Pho Tai, Grilled Pork Chop, Spicy Wonton Soup and Pork Banh Mi
Pho Tai: vegetables are very fresh
Pork Chop: Flavor was spot on.
Spicy Wonton: Wontons are well made and tasty. Wish it had more stuff in the soup for the price
Banh Mi: Tasted great, can’t go wrong.
You need to order the right food! They provide some of the best dishes in town, but not all of their dishes are good. My favorite is number 76, kind of like a dried version of pho noodle soup but with completely different flavor and toppings. Spicy wonton soup is good too.
I didn’t like their pho noodle soup and fried rice though.
Excellent service! I came here with the intention of getting a good bowl of pho, instead the pho-ritto (Vietnamese burrito) caught my eye and I ended up ordering that. I'm so glad I did! I consider myself a burrito connoisseur (I'm not addicted, I just eat them everyday), and this was one of the best burritos I've ever had! The amazing flavor combination of the pho noodles, basil, and special seasoned pork was absolutely awesome. It also has a decent kick of spice to it. It comes with a small cup of mom's pho broth. This was actually my second time eating this burrito this week. So good! Thank you. GIA DINH!
The environment is clean and well organized. Lady boss is very friendly. Having dinner here is relaxing.
I order large Pho Combo for here and Grilled Chicken sandwich to go. I really like the soup and well cooked noodle. The well packed sandwiches is my late-night snack which is delicious also. It’s still warm 6 hours later. I think this sandwich will be suitable for late night work or picnic.
Amazing place, awesome staff, fun gorgeous menu, their pho has some of the best broth in the city. Perfect amount of anice
I have tried EVERY Vietnamese & pho restaurant in Anchorage and this one has by far had the best tasting pho in the city. A little pricey compared to most, but oh so good! My new favorite, this will be my go to now. The vegetarian/tofu pho has the most variety of vegetables, and the broth is so good. Also, be sure to try the Thai iced coffee, delicious.
My friend and I originally came in to try the pho, but the menu was too tempting, and we ended up trying other items! The spicy wonton soup was to die for! Great flavor, fair amount of spice for those who don’t have a high spice tolerance, and decent portions! Servers were also very kind and accommodating. I highly recommend checking this restaurant out!
